THE ROLE
This is a highly visible role with a strong focus on managing strategic sales/BD at a senior level in Northern America. We are looking for a business development professional with a strong track record of selling drug discovery CRO services into the Biopharmaceutical/Life Sciences industries. Job Responsibilities:
- Managing the end to end sales process through engagement of appropriate resources
- Create and maintain a sales pipeline to ensure over-achievement selling company's structural biology/drug discovery focused services
- Build market awareness and create new sales, successfully positioning the company's strategy, vision, and market leadership with key business executives and functional decision-makers in all customers and prospects.
- Organize and manage industry events and user groups to generate market interest
- Assist remaining current on relevant industry and internal company products, pricing, markets, plans and developments.
- Seek and provide customer and market awareness including presenting opportunities for evaluation that could expand the company's market and product reach.
- Maintaining a long-term perspective to maximize overall revenue generation while being able to generate short term results
Requirements:
- Demonstrated track record of at least 5 years selling drug discovery CRO services into the biopharmaceutical, CRO, and/or life sciences industries.
- Master of doctoral degree, preferably in relevant scientific disciplines
- Good knowledge of the drug discovery process and primary issues around early drug discovery stages
- Good communications skills and ability to interact with a diverse and senior-level customer base including senior management and executives at prospects and existing clients.
- Organizational skills to secure internal support and resources (people, marketing materials, etc.)
